1. Background
Natural gas is a potential fossil energy resource. Due to its abundant reserves, the natural gas plays important role for Indonesia revenue, as petrochemical raw material as well as clean, efficient, economical fuel for industry, power plants and other sectors. Such great importance demands human resources who have good technical and managerial skills in gas field. To ensure these resources, the Department of Chemical Engineering Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia is conducting Engineering Master Program in the field of Gas Management

2. Purposes of the Program

1. To produce Master graduates in Engineering Management who have competencies in gas technology and management dealing with gas industry structure, gas economics, gas treatment, gas transmission and distribution system, gas storage, gas utilization, and energy/gas policies.
2. To produce Master graduates in Engineering Management who are capable of becoming leaders in gas and energy industry and capable of developing science, technology and management of gas consistently.


3. Who need this Program?

This Program can be enrolled by executives, management and staff in gas or energy companies, management and staff in gas and oil institutions, engineering consultants who intend to improve their knowledge and academic recognition.


4. Requirements

The candidates must have graduated as S1 level in chemical engineering, gas and petrochemical engineering, petroleum engineering, geology, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, metallurgical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics and material science as well as economics from accredited state universities or private universities, and overseas universities with S1 certificates legalized by Ministry of Education.


5. Education system

Education system refers to a curriculum based on education system in Postgraduate Program University of Indonesia.Lecturing activities is lead to being active learning in the forms of group discussion, problem solving and special studies. The students have obligations to conduct research and write their research up into thesis and defend their thesis.


6. Academic duration and loads

Master Program consists of 4 (four) semester with academic load of 40 credits covering lectures (28 credits), seminar (3 credits) and thesis (9 credits). In general this program can be concluded in 2 years, and maximum 6 semesters with minimum GPA (Grade Point Average) of 2.75.

Engineering Project Management

Concepts and functions of project management; planning and scheduling techniques and methods; control techniques and methods; visibility evaluation and decision on investment; human resources and supplies; project implementation; selected topic on natural gas project.

Thermodynamic Properties of Hydrocarbon

Thermodynamic properties and phase equilibrium principal for application of processes related to gas production, gas treatment, transportation and gas distribution, gas storage, and gas combustion, other gas source properties such as methane hydrate, coalbed methane and their comparison with other types of fossil energies such as oil and coals.

Natural Gas Processing

Natural gas dehydration and sweetening; mercury removal; gas liquefaction process (LNG, LPG), gas compression process (CNG).

Natural Gas Transportation and Utilization

Natural gas transportation and storage: gas pipeline, CNG transportation, LNG transportation, small scale LNG, LNG receiving terminal, underground storage; natural gas utilization: gas to heat (clean combustion), gas to wire (GTW): combined cycle, fuel cells, micro turbine, gas to liquids (GTL), gas to chemicals (GTC), natural gas vehicles (NGVs).

Natural Gas Economics

Rule of thumb of natural gas value chain: natural gas production, LNG, CNG, pipeline, gas storage, GTL, GTC, GTW; supply-demand of natural gas; natural gas industry structure; contract and cost estimation in natural gas project; natural gas pricing; tariff, and market; deregulation on natural gas industry and natural gas policy.

Risk Management

Risk management overview; risk management implementation; risk planning and identification consideration; risk analysis consideration, risk handling and monitoring consideration; case studyon risk analysis of natural gas industries.

Sustainable Energy

Development concept and sustainable energy; interrelation between energy system and social system; ecology/environmental system and economic system; conventional (fossil) energy system and global changing issue; natural gas as a bridge for future energy; renewable energy; analysis method of sustainable system: LCA, EMS; national and international policy for sustainable energy: Kyoto Protocol, Clean Development Mechanism.

Seminar

Writing and presenting a research proposal. The proposal contains states of the art, problem identification, objectives, hypothesis, scopes, method, and literature survey.

Thesis
Research implementation based on the research proposal presented in the seminar; analysis of research results; thesis writing and presentation.


9. Lectures

All academic activities are held in Gedung Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia Kampus UI Salemba in evening times. Lectures in the second term of the academic year 2007-2008 commences in early January 2008.


10. Where the Student come from?
The students of Gas Management Program mostly come from industries, government offices and academic institutions, such as Pertamina, PT PGN, BPPPTMGB Lemigas, Ditjen Migas, BP and BPH Migas, ConnocoPhillips, Exxon Mobil Oil, Chevron, BP, PT. ENI Indonesia, BPPT and many others.

Cyprus Scholarships for Master in Business Administration (MBA) or Master in Public Sector Management (MPSM)

The Republic of Cyprus is offering up to a total of sixteen (16) full scholarships of 12-months duration to study for the attainment of the Master in Business Administration (MBA) or Master in Public Sector Management (MPSM)* title for the academic year 2010-2011. The Universities taking part in the scheme are: the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM), the European University Cyprus (EUC), the University of Cyprus (UCY) and the University of Nicosia (UNIC). Each University will receive up to four (4) students who will attend the above study programme as official scholarship holders from the Republic of Cyprus. Eligible candidates are citizens of the list of scholarship recipient countries for the academic year 2010-2011, as per the distribution shown below:

Application procedure: In order to submit an application for scholarship, the applicant must fill-in the relevant application form for the respective University programme. Workshop on Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) and Organization and Management Arrangement

Midwifery professional oath ceremony

The Midwifery Diploma Program inaugurated its 15^th batch and there was also a professional oath ceremony for the graduates. The Ceremony was held at the 2^nd floor Auditorium Hall at UNPAD Teaching Hospital Jalan Eijkman 38 Bandung.

About 135 participants of WANADRI members selection participated in the psychological test at the 6^th floor of UNPAD Teaching Hospital East Wing on Saturday 22 May 2010. The Psychological Test was assisted by The Services and Psychological Innovation Office of the Faculty of Psychology UNPAD. This is one of the examination series that required for all WANADRI applicants

Public Servant Professional Oath Official Ceremony

Due to the condition that there are still many staffs of the Faculty of Medicine of UNPAD who have never participated in the official ceremony of public servants professional oath (the ceremony is a MUST for all public servants in Indonesia based on Government Regulation/Undang-Undang no.8/1974) to arrange the ceremony in more efficient way since 2004 (based on Vice Rector II of UNPAD official announcement no 3788/J06.2/KP/2004 of Public Servants Professional Oath and Vice Rector II UNPAD official letter no.5096/H6.3/TU/2010 15 March 2010 of Public Servants professional oath ceremony details) the ceremony will be arranged by each faculties

SEJARAH PERKEMBANGAN FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNJANI

Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (UNJANI) merupakan pengembangan dari Sekolah-Sekolah Tinggi yang diselenggarakan di bawah koordinasi Lembaga Pendidikan Tinggi (LEMDIKTI) Yayasan Kartika Eka Paksi (YKEP) yang ditetapkan dengan Surat Keputusan Ketua Umum Yayasan Kartika Eka Paksi Nomor 027/YKEP/1990 tanggal 20 Mei 1990. UNJANI dikukuhkan oleh Surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 0512/0/1990 tanggal 9 Agustus 1990. Integrasi Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Bandung di Bandung dengan Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani sesuai dengan Surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 0124/0/1992 tanggal 2 Maret 1992.

Sejak tahun 1987, jauh sebelum UNJANI dibentuk, telah mulai perintisan untuk mendirikan Sekolah Tinggi Kedokteran bersama Universitas Padjajaran (UNPAD). Setelah UNJANI berdiri, perintisan dilanjutkan lebih intensif bersama UNPAD dan KOPERTIS Wilayah IV Jawa Barat untuk mendirikan Fakultas Kedokteran dengan persetujuan Koordinator KOPERTIS Wilayah IV Jawa Barat tanggal 21 Juli 1991 Nomor 143/KopIV/1991. Pendirian Fakultas Kedokteran UNJANI dikukuhkan dengan Surat Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi a.n. Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI Nomor 45/D/0/1993 tanggal 20 April 1993 yang memberikan status terdaftar kepada Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter untuk jenjang Program S1. Meskipun penerimaan mahasiswa angkatan pertama sebenarnya telah dimulai bulan Oktober 1992, namun Hari Kelahiran Fakultas Kedokteran UNJANI ditetapkan berdasarkan tanggal dikukuhkan pendiriannya oleh Dirjen Dikti, yaitu tanggal 20 April 1993.

FK UNJANI terakreditasi "B" dan mendapat izin perpanjangan penyelenggaraan studi dari Dirjen Dikti, sesuai dengan surat keputusan Nomor 017/BAN-PT/Ak-IX/S1/X/2005, tertanggal 13 Oktober 2005 yang berlaku sampai tahun 2010.

Sejak berdiri, kurikulum Fakultas Kedokteran Unjani menggunakan Sistem Kredit Semester (SKS) berdasarkan KIPDI I dan KIPDI II. Mulai TA 2007/2008 menerapkan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi (KBK) berdasarkan Standar Pendidikan Profesi Dokter dan Standar Kompetensi Dokter.

Panduan Pendaftaran

Panduan pendaftaran dapat dilihat pada menu Panduan Pendaftaran di sebelah kiri.

Persyaratan Pendaftaran Umum

• Memiliki ijazah setingkat Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkat Atas (termasuk SMK, MA)
• Batasan usia:
  • Vokasi Universitas Indonesia tidak ada batas usia
  • PNJ untuk kelas reguler pagi usia maksimum 22 tahun, untuk kelas paralel siang usia maksimum 27 tahun (per tanggal 1 Agustus 2010)
• Tidak buta warna bagi program studi tertentu.

Persyaratan pendaftaran spesifik untuk masing-masing program studi dapat dilihat pada menu persyaratan program studi di samping.

Biaya Pendaftaran

Biaya pendaftaran untuk seleksi program Diploma/Vokasi adalah sebesar Rp. 250.000 untuk pilihan IPA/IPS (maksimal 2 pilihan) dan Rp. 300.000 untuk pilihan IPC (gabungan IPA & IPS, maksimal 3 pilihan).

Biaya pendaftaran hanya dapat dibayarkan setelah Anda meng-upload foto.

Biaya pendaftaran yang sudah dibayarkan tidak dapat dikembalikan dengan alasan apapun.

Biaya pendaftaran dibayarkan melalui mekanisme host-to-host UI seperti dijelaskan pada panduan cara pembayaran.
